The Bose DS40F, where the F stands for Flush Mount is a very high performance in ceiling speaker. although you can purchase a Pendent kit and have it hung from the ceiling, but most uses are when its actually installed in the ceiling. The DS40F is a great speaker for Restaurant Bar areas or Church Foyers where they want more than the usual background music.. The DS40F has more power and low end and make a bigger sound impact. It has a very wide 125° conical pattern with a frequency range down to 70 Hz.
